Yellow dal is a staple of Indian food, something that counts as so basic, anyone could make it. The dal I got from here was so amazing, I'm having a hard time reconciling it as dal. The spice balance, that amazing freshness, and that heavenly scent; truly this dal beats any I've had in the US, and several I've had when in India itself.
